Used in this “look”:
Sinful Colors: Nail Junkie (927)
Sinful Colors: Happy Ending (946)
L.A. Colors: Shock (BCC567)
Rimmel London: Top/Base Coat (100)
I started with a base coat and than mixed Shock with Happy Ending to give a lime green color. I layered that (with a paint brush for thinner layers) twice. Once from the base of the nail (super thin), and the second from a little higher up.
The second step is to use the green (Happy Ending) and do the same steps but higher up on the nail.
The third step is to use the sparkly Nail Junkie on the tips. This is usually only two layers with this one.
Last is a simple top coat (I did two this time, which is unusual for me).
I’ve been getting compliments on this which surprised me. People really love the color and the use of green. I don’t know why that seems to stand out to people. I even got a compliment from a man because it’s the color he’s going to paint his hot rod. Which was pretty awesome.
I finally gave in and picked up some Sinful Colors.
I LOVE them. They are thicker than I thought, the colors are vibrant, and they have a great range.
Sinful Colors: Under 18 (298)
Sinful Colors: Happy Ending (946)
Sinful Colors: Nail Junkie (927)
Under 18 (298) is a beautiful, shimmery, almost pearly red. It’s a little darker than what I wanted, but it’s a good thing. This is honestly beautiful and I love the color.
Happy Ending (946) is the shimmery green. I love this. I love this so much. I’m not usually a green person, but this color was exactly what I wanted.
Nail Junkie (927) is my favorite out of all my picks. It goes well with blue and green polish. My problem with a lot of sparkly polishes is they are clumpy because of big pieces of glitter and with my tiny hands and nail beds, it ends up looking strange. It’s not the case with this. The “big” chunks are still small enough to show up and look like normal.
Rimmel London: Base Coat Top Coat Pro (100)
I like this. But I think I like the bottle more than the product. This is thicker than a lot of base/top coats. More like a clear coat. It was $4.00, which is more than I’ll usually spend on polish (right now) but the dark colors I’ve been wearing have been staining my nails BAD. And this is definitely helpling.

Brilliant! I would wear these forever.

L.A. Colors: Shock (BCC567)
L.A. Colors: Tahiti Sunrise (BCC589)
L.A. Colors: Transformer (BCC576)
I was at the Dollar Tree (OF AWESOMENESS) today and they had a ton of nail polish. Mostly L.A. Colors and something called Fetish Toes (I think). Those came with either stickers or a cheap emery board. They were kind of cute but there weren’t any colors I couldn’t live with out.
So anyway. Shock is yellow. More yellow than the crap I picked up yesterday. I love how bright this is. In the store Tahiti Sunrise and Transformer looked different. TS looked orange when in fact it is more of a salmon. It’s still really pretty. Transformer looked brown. Which I needed for my boy’s Halloween costume. He wants to be a warewolf, so we thought we might grow his nails out (longer than he likes them) and make them look like claws.
Anyway. It’s not brown. It’s burgundy. And now I have to find a cheap brown. NOT HAPPY. I’m to cheap for this crap!
I’ll definitely show you all what colors they are on nails and do a review. I don’t expect much out of them.
Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear - White On (300)
Sally Hansen X-Treme Wear - Mellow Yellow (360)
I nabbed these up at Walmart because I needed the colors. I don’t really like these unless it’s for mixing or using for embellishing. These are the cheapest of the Sally Hansen line and they have the worst colors. They tend to be really thin (so hard to apply) but have that super thick weird look on the nail. But for $1.99 to $3.00 if your just going to mix them and sponge/paint brush them on, they’re a good bargain with an OK range of color. I’d rather buy Wet n Wild to be honest.
I finally tried my hand at nebula/galactic nails. This was surprisingly easy. However, I would do the white “stars” differently than the “dot” method. My hands are just to small. So I would have to come up with another method.
I did mix a TON of sparkle nail polish in with the white to give it more “stars”. I should have stuck with the sparkles.
